Are you part of the gallon per day club? If not, that is more than likely okay. The amount of water you should drink per day depends on a variety of things including your size, activity level, climate you’re in and even gender. A good typical rule to follow is that you should try to take your body weight in pounds, divide it by 2, and that is the number of ounces of water you should drink per day. Keep in mind, it is always okay to drink more than that considering all the great benefits of staying hydrated! Check out a few below-
- Keeps skin healthy and hydrated
- Helps with digestion
- Regulates your body temperature
- Helps your organs function properly
- Makes up about 60% of your overall body composition
- Helps rid the body of toxins
- Lubricates joints
- Less bloating
- More energy!
So many benefits to making sure that you are hydrated throughout the day. Some great tips to making sure that you hit your water goals are to add flavoring to your water (Lemon, Mio, powder flavoring, etc.), start with 8 oz of water every morning, have a water bottle that is labeled with how many ounces it has, and set goals of how many ounces to hit throughout the day!
Give these a try and let me know if they help. Stay hydrated my friends!
