On top of my resolutions this year, I decided I wanted to take it a step further and identify an overall area of weakness that I can work on throughout the year. After a lot of thought, I landed on the word consistency. Going to the gym consistently for me is not too big of a challenge, it is more about my habits outside of the gym that I need to remain consistent with. The 3 main things that I will be prioritizing throughout the year is my nutrition, effort during my workouts, and posting consistent content on my blog.
Why is being consistent so challenging? I am sure I’m not alone when I say I have no problem following the habits I set for short periods of time, but remaining consistent with those is something that I have struggled with. Things happen in life where it is easy to fall off the horse and can be very difficult to hop back on. My challenge to my self is to be the guy that is not afraid to hop back on. There are going to be days where I am not able to eat the way I want to or weeks where I can’t make it to the gym as much as I want to. The key is how do I respond to that? Do I fall off the horse because I wasn’t successful? Or do I use it as motivation to get back on that horse and get back on the road to consistency? Having a bad week is completely understandable, but responding to that bad week by getting back to your goals is vital.
Another thing I want to be more consistent with is posting more consistently on this blog as well as my Instagram and Facebook pages. Let me know what kind of content you would like to see moving forward in the comments and follow my Instagram and Facebook pages linked below!

I’d love to see more of your nutrition content! I’d also learn how you get the motivation/determination to hop back on the horse. I have always struggled to get back into a routine after a long weekend or traveling. Great post, you are so motivating!
