We are approaching the last weekend of March Madness and boy… what a ride! This year has been far from a disappointment, which is much more than I can say for my bracket. But that is what makes this tournament so unique, it is absolutely unpredictable! That being especially true this year, with a 4 seed, two 5 seeds, and a 9 seed. There are absolutely no shortage of cinderella stories in this one, but at this point each team has their eye on cutting down the nets in Houston. But who is going to get it done?
Not that you should listen to me because I have lost more money than I care to admit gambling on these games, but I have to give the edge to UConn. I mean it is very hard not to pick them when they have absolutely dominated every tournament game and the closest anyone has been to beating them has been losing by 15 points (wow). They have been without a doubt the most impressive team in the tournament so far, but that is the crazy thing about this tournament, all it takes is one bad shooting night and you are packing your bags to head home. That is definitely something that is possible, given that the 4 teams left all pride themselves on being great on the defensive side of the ball. While I do give the edge to UConn, it is anybody’s game at this point. All these teams have proven that they are mentally tough and willing to do whatever it takes to win. Should be a fun weekend of basketball.
